On Judgment Day, when people are resurrected for judgment, it is the mind that stands up in defense to present its arguments when answering the following questions; was the mind able to rationalize its course or did it follow a path that is not related to the thought?
Allah, the Most Exalted, wants man to rationalize his responsibility, emotions and instincts, for the materialistic elements living inside his instinct might kill him, once this instinct deviates from its natural course; thus, destroying his reality. Thus, we ought to give the instinct a potion of the mind to employ it in the nature of life’s need for the vitality and continuity of the instinct, yet in a balanced manner in terms of its movement and reality. Moreover, we ought to give our emotions a potion of the mind, to make them balanced and deep-rooted, for man might go wild by his emotion, and love and hate without any calculations or considerations.
